Daniel Cousin is hoping a loan switch to Larissa will allow him to play regular first-team football.

The Hull City striker has joined the Greek outfit on a deal which is set to run until the end of the season.

Having slipped down the pecking order at the KC Stadium, the Gabon international was desperate to secure a move during the January transfer window.

He has been granted his wish and is excited by the challenges which now lie ahead.

Cousin acknowledges that he is now entering the latter stages of his career and knows it is imperative he plays as often as possible, but he has not yet given up hope of making a name for himself in the Premier League.

Second chance

"I am delighted to join Larissa, they are a good club in Greece," he said.

"I will now have the chance to play regular football. I am 32 years old and I need football.

"Hull is a good club and I started well there, like when I scored against Arsenal last season, but after that I had a dip in form.

"It was difficult towards the end, but hopefully I can do well here and then come back and have another crack at the Premier League, either with Hull or with someone else."
