Robinho is hoping his move to Santos could become a permanent one.
The Brazilian star was speaking as he was unveiled by Santos following his loan move from Manchester City.
The 26-year-old is due to spend the rest of the season back on loan in his homeland.
"My goal is to stay for a long time," he said.
"If the president wants to extend my contract to four years that would be great.
"I have my objective of going to the World Cup and being at my best at the World Cup.
"I believe this can be my World Cup. In the national team competition is very big, there are a lot of good players and that had me worried."
Robinho is due to make his debut in the weekend's clash with Sao Paulo.
