Defender seals Glanford Park switch

Scunthorpe have completed the capture of Stockport captain Michael Raynes for an undisclosed fee. The 22-year-old becomes Nigel Adkins' third signing of the January transfer window. Donal McDermott and Brendan Moloney have already arrived at Glanford Park over recent weeks. Raynes, who began his career as a trainee with Stockport, made over 150 appearances for the Hatters during a six-year stint as a senior professional. His departure was sanctioned by Stockport after they were able to bring in former Leeds defender Paul Huntington on deadline day.
