Skysports.com understands Swindon are in talks to sign Portsmouth youngster Matt Ritchie.
Ritchie is currently back at Portsmouth after a successful loan spell at Notts County earlier this season and he was among the substitutes for Sunday's defeat to Manchester City.
Notts County were thought to be keen on signing Ritchie on a permanent basis, but Swindon have stolen in to lure him to the County Ground.
Portsmouth are ready to let Ritchie move on as they look to bring in much-needed funds to ease their financial problems.
Swindon boss Danny Wilson is thought to be a big admirer of the 20-year-old and believes he will be a valuable addition to his squad as they look to maintain their promotion bid.
