Tottenham defender Jonathan Woodgate has set his sights on a return to action before the end of the season.
Woodgate has made only three Premier League appearances this season due to a niggling groin problem and has now flown to America for further treatment.
The injury has frustrated Spurs' medical staff and Harry Redknapp admitted earlier this week he could not put a timescale on the centre-back's comeback.
However, Woodgate is optimistic he will soon be back on the pitch to help his team-mates in their quest for UEFA Champions League qualification.
"I hope to be back out there soon," he said in the Sunday Mirror.
"Injuries are never nice but all players know they are part of the game and you just have to get on with it.
"I'm just looking to get fit again and play a part in what should be an exciting end to the season.
"I just hope to be back soon, helping the team in any way I can."
