Mauro Boselli's agent has played down suggestions that the Argentine is set for a move to Birmingham.
Whilst not dismissing the interest in the player, Barry McIntosh confirmed that talk of a near £9million deal for the Estudiantes ace was wide of the mark.
Boselli was said to be in talks with the Blues about a move to St Andrews but this has now been denied.
"Those reports are far off the mark, and unlikely with just 48 hours to go until the window shuts," McIntosh told skysports.com.
"Even for no other reasons that Estudiantes would not find a replacement for one of their key players in that short space of time."
McIntosh did admit there was some ongoing interest from England.
"Birmingham have had an interest, I know that Alex is one of a number managers in England who know about him, but to suggest a move was imminent, as I said, way off the mark."
