Sheffield United midfielder James Harper's loan move from Reading has become a permanent deal.
The 29-year-old joined the Blades from their Championship rivals on a season-long deal in September but has impressed sufficiently to earn a full-time switch.
United manager Kevin Blackwell has been pleased with the progress made by Harper during his time at Bramall Lane and has been delighted by his attitude.
The former Arsenal man delivered one of his best displays in Tuesday's victory over Reading, a fact not lost on Blackwell.
United's boss said: "He has started to really develop now, he is getting on the ball and is an infectious character.
"Reading missed having someone like him the other night."
