Aberdeen have been boosted by the news that starlet Fraser Fyvie has committed his long-term future to Pittodrie.
Mark McGhee's side have been waiting a while for the good news after offering the 16-year-old new terms in November.
Less than 24 hours after Fyvie became the SPL's youngest-ever goalscorer after netting at Hearts, he has signed on until the summer of 2013.
Aberdeen's director of football Willie Miller has expressed his delight at retaining the youngster, who has made 13 appearances this season.
"Fraser is a fantastic talent and we are delighted he has committed his immediate future to the club," Miller told the club's official website.
"He has made a big impact since coming into the team and given that he is so young it makes it all the more impressive.
"Fraser represents all that we are working hard to achieve in nurturing our own talent through the youth academy, and this is great news for everyone involved in that set-up."
