Scunthorpe have swooped to sign Nottingham Forest defender Brendan Moloney on loan until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old right-back has made a total of 15 career league appearances for Forest but has not featured at all at the City Ground this season.
Moloney has had loan spells at Chesterfield, Rushden and most recently Notts County, where he made 19 appearances earlier in the campaign.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international can also play in central defence and midfield, and goes straight into the Iron squad for the Championship clash with Sheffield Wednesday.
However, he will be ineligible when Forest take on Scunthorpe in May later in the season.
