Roma have dismissed reports that influential midfielder Daniele De Rossi could join Real Madrid before the close of the transfer window.
Speculation has linked De Rossi with a January switch to Real amid suggestions the Spanish club could offload Fernando Gago.
De Rossi, who has previously been mooted as a transfer target for Arsenal and Chelsea, has often been linked with a move away from Roma.
However, the Giallorossi's president Rosella Sensi has moved to reassure coach Claudio Ranieri that the Italy international will not be sold.
"Coach Claudio Ranieri can sleep peacefully," Sensi told Rai TV.
"There are no problems. Daniele doesn't move."
