Wigan winger Daniel de Ridder has completed a loan move to Israeli outfit Hapoel Tel Aviv on a six-month deal.

The Dutchman failed to break into the Latics squad under boss Roberto Martinez, who took over at the DW Stadium in the summer.

The 25-year-old, who has dual nationality as his mother is Israeli, travelled to

Israel this week to finalise the details of the deal.

De Ridder was signed by former Latics boss Steve Bruce but made just five Premier League starts last season.

The change of manager after Bruce's departure for Sunderland did little to help the winger's career and he failed to feature at all for the first team in the current campaign.
