Championship high-fliers Leicester City have signed experienced midfielder Nolberto Solano to aid their bid for promotion.
The former Newcastle, Aston Villa and West Ham player is a free agent and has signed until the end of the season after training with the Foxes first-team squad on Thursday morning.
Subject to international clearance, the 35-year-old could play in the FA Cup fourth round clash against Cardiff on Saturday.
His first Championship game could be at Barnsley in midweek before then facing former club Newcastle at the Walkers Stadium on 30th January.
The Peruvian international brings a wealth of experience to Nigel Pearson's side, with more than 300 appearances in English football.
He left the Hammers in the summer of 2008 and has since played for Greek side Larissa and latterly Peruvian outfit Universitario de Deportes.
