Hull City manager Phil Brown has confirmed that Egypt international striker Amr Zaki is one of the players he is interested in signing.
Brown is looking to improve the quality of his squad before the close of the transfer window and has been linked with a loan move for Zaki.
The 26-year-old has claimed that he is due to undergo a medical with an unnamed Premier League team ahead of a loan move from Zamalek for the second half of the season.
Skysports.com understands the loan deal has been agreed between Zamalek and Hull, and that Zaki has arrived in England ahead of a planned medical on Sunday.
Brown acknowledged he is considering a move for the powerful front man and also revealed that he has spoken to another transfer target regarding a potential switch to the KC Stadium.
"He is a player we are interested in," said Brown. "But I also spoke to another international player on Friday night."
Zaki spent last season on loan at Wigan Athletic, scoring 11 goals in 32 appearances, including a brace in a 5-0 victory at Hull.
