Watford have swooped to sign St Mirren starlet Stephen McGinn.
Hornets boss Malky Mackay knows the market in his homeland well and he has now sealed a deal for 21-year-old McGinn.
The Glasgow-born youngster is a product of the St Mirren youth system and played 60 first-team games for the Buddies.
He has now moved south of the border to link-up with Watford.
"We have lost one of our talented young players, but everybody realises the gulf between the Championship and our top flight," Saints boss Gus MacPherson said.
"It is the fifth richest league in Europe and the directors have decided it is the best thing for the club.
"But it is a good move for him and we wish him well."
