Ward leaves Posh for Preston

Peterborough have finalised the signing of Tottenham midfielder Jake Livermore. Posh announced the loan signing last week but have now completed the paperwork on the move and he is set for a debut against Derby on Saturday. Livermore spent the first half of the season on loan with the Rams and scored once in 16 appearances in the Championship. Meanwhile, Darren Ward has joined former Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson at Preston after leaving London Road. The much-travelled Ward, 35, has joined North End as goalkeeping coaching capacity after working with Ferguson at Peterborough. "I brought him to Peterborough and he wasn't there long before I left and he's obviously remained there until now," said Ferguson. "He's very professional, a very good goalkeeper himself, very hard working which is what I look for in my staff. It's important that I set the right example with my work ethic and that goes all the way down to the players through the staff and that's what he brings. "He's very good at his job and I know that the two goalkeepers are looking forward to working with him."
