Skysports.com understands Brighton are poised to sign Swansea defender Marcos Painter.
Seagulls boss Gus Poyet has lined up a move for Painter to bolster his defence as he looks to steer Brighton clear of trouble at the wrong end of League One.
Painter has dropped down the pecking order at Swansea this season in making only six appearances in the first-team.
Swans boss Paulo Sousa is happy to loan out the full-back so that he can get some regular first-team action under his belt.
Painter is expected to sign initially on loan for a month with a view to extending it until the end of the season.
