Richard Foster has committed his future to Aberdeen by signing a new three-and-a-half year contract.
The 24-year-old defender had been out of contract in the summer and reportedly interesting a number of SPL rivals.
However, after agreeing to extend his Pittodrie stay he has now penned a deal that ties him to the club until 2013.
Foster came through the youth ranks and has gone on to make almost 200 appearances after being handed a debut under Steve Paterson in 2003.
"It is great to get my future sorted out," he told the club's official website.
"I was always determined to stay here and I am really enjoying my football just now.
"My family are all very settled and that made my decision a very simple one."
