Everton's on-loan striker Jo will return to training this week having served a club suspension for going AWOL.

Jo, 22, flew home to Rio de Janeiro without permission during a busy festive period for the injury-plagued Toffees.

Already light on recruits, the club were forced to fine the on-loan Manchester City striker and ban him from playing as punishment for his disappearing act.

Jo is expected to return to training on Monday but will miss out against Arsenal at the weekend.

Moving on

Toffees boss David Moyes says he is putting the incident behind him as he prepares for a tough fixture list in the coming weeks.

"Jo will come back and start training with us on Monday," he said ahead of his side's daunting trip to Arsenal.

"We've had a period of suspension for him and he has been fined heavily and we move on now."
