Derby have completed the signing of defender Nicky Hunt on a month's loan from Bolton.
Rams boss Nigel Clough confirmed early on Thursday that he was hoping to seal a deal for Hunt to improve his options at right-back.
The conclusion of Fredrik Stoor's temporary switch from Fulham left Paul Connolly as the only specialist right-back available to Derby.
And the Pride Park side have now reached an agreement with their Reebok Stadium counterparts that will see the experienced Hunt move to the East Midlands.
Clough told Derby's official website: "Nicky is a very welcome addition to our squad and we're pleased that we have been able to bring him in.
"Nicky can play at right-back or centre-half so it is nice to have someone available to us who is equally comfortable in either position, and he also has good experience in both the Championship and also the Premier League.
"We highlighted the need to bring in fresh faces and Nicky fits the bill perfectly for us."
