Clubs chase Stockport shot-stopper

Stockport County ace Owain Fon Williams looks set to leave the club in the coming weeks, skysports.com understands. It is believed that Fon Williams was set to join SPL side Motherwell in a cut-price deal - but that fell through after Jim Gannon left Fir Park. Now a host of clubs are looking to conclude a bargain deal for the 22-year-old. Leeds United have long held an interest in the player and are keen to strike a deal, and are thought to be leading the chase. However, Premier League sides Sunderland and Tottenham are also looking to bolster their goalkeeping options and are understood to be keen on the young Welshman and could yet snap him up. Stockport, who are in administration, look set to find a new buyer later this month but despite this a host of their top assets look set to leave the club in the next few weeks.
