VVV Venlo midfielder Keisuke Honda has reportedly agreed to join Russian giants CSKA Moscow.
According to the Japanese media, the 23-year-old has accepted an offer from CSKA even though neither party has formally announced the deal.
Honda, who has been impressive for VVV in the Eredivisie this term, had been linked to a number of high-profile clubs over the summer, including Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton.
However, CSKA are believed to have offered €9 million (£8.1m) for the player's services and appear to have beaten the Premier League duo to his signature.
"This is a big adventure for me and the benefits from this far outweigh the risks," he told Sankei Sports.
"I want to play for a club that will value my contributions. So far, I've been made to feel this way."
