Macclesfield Town have signed former Liverpool striker Craig Lindfield on a short-term contract.
Lindfield has been training with the League Two club for the past fortnight after leaving Accrington Stanley at the end of last season.
The forward could be involved in the Boxing Day game at Shrewsbury Town and he is eager to make the most of his chance with Keith Alexander's side.
"I'm pleased to have been offered a chance here at Macclesfield," Lindfield told the club's official website.
"I've been with the club for about two weeks now in training, but the reserve game I was set to play in was cancelled.
"I've been working hard and it's obviously paid off, so I've got this chance.
"As long as I work hard in training and show what I can do when I get a chance, then I'm sure I'll be able to do well for the club."
