The agent of Inter Milan's Maicon does not expect the full-back to leave Giuseppe Meazza in January amidst a link to new Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini.
There has already been speculation that Mancini wants to sign the Brazil international following the former Inter boss' appointment at City on Saturday.
City have long been linked with Maicon and his representative, Antonio Caliendo, claims that Inter rejected a €40million (£35m) offer from a club last season.
Caliendo is not shocked by the rumour mill, but expects his client to stay with Italian champions Inter.
"This doesn't surprise me because Mancini knows Maicon like no other and together they did great things and won so much," he told fcinternews.it.
"But at Inter, Maicon has excellent terms with both the team and the club. And in any case I don't think he is a player who could move in January."
On suggestions of a big-money offer, Caliendo added: "€40m? I don't establish the price, but I know that last year an offer of that amount was refused."
