Hornets striker relishing new challenge

Watford striker Nathan Ellington has agreed a deal to join Greek outfit Xanthi on loan until the end of the season. Ellington's future at Vicarage Road has been in some doubt since he returned to the club in the summer after spending last season on loan at Derby County. He undertook a trial at Blackburn Rovers in August, but was not offered a move to Ewood Park by Sam Allardyce. The 28-year-old has made 18 appearances for the Hornets this term, but 16 of those have come from the bench and he will now be on the move in January. Ellington is looking forward to his fresh start and could join Xanthi on a permanent basis if he impresses during the next six months. "I'm really thrilled to be here and I want to help the team climb higher in the table and even qualify for Europe," said Ellington. "This is the first time I'm playing outside of England and it's a new experience for me."
