Reported Chelsea and Manchester City target Angel di Maria has cast further doubt over his future with Benfica having said he dreams of playing for a 'bigger club'.
The 21-year-old Argentina international has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League following a string of impressive performances in Portugal.
City are said to be leading the chase and could be ready to meet the winger's 40million euro valuation.
Di Maria admits he is ready for a new challenge and could leave Estadio da Luz as early as the January transfer window.
And the talented youngster believes that a move to the Premier League would enhance his prospects of making the Argentina squad for the 2010 World Cup.
He told La Red: "I am very eager to play in a different league.
"I have been in Portugal for three years and going to a bigger club would be very beautiful for me and my career."
Di Maria admits he hopes to be named in Diego Maradona's World Cup squad in South Africa next year having earned a number of call-ups already.
He added: "It is hard to get a place among the 23 given the quality of Argentina's squad, but I feel I will be at the World Cup and I hope the coach thinks so too."
