Arsenal teenager Jay Emmanuel-Thomas has signed a long-term contract extension, the Premier League club have confirmed.
The 18-year-old spent the opening three months of the season on loan at Blackpool where he scored two goals in 12 appearances.
Emmanuel-Thomas also impressed last season in Arsenal's League and FA Cup Double-winning youth team.
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has spotted the potential and has therefore decided to hand the midfielder a new deal.
A statement on Arsenal's official website read: "Everyone at Arsenal looks forward to Jay's continued contribution to the club in the years to come."
Emmanuel-Thomas is expected to stay in Arsenal's reserves, but there are hopes that he can make an impression with the first team.
