Dickson weighs up options

Skysports.com understands a number of sides are chasing highly-rated Brentford defender Ryan Dickson. Dickson is out of contract in the summer and teams from north and south of the border are understood to be keeping tabs on the full-back's situation at Griffin Park. If Dickson were to see out his contract and leave Griffin Park, Brentford would be entitled to a compensation fee, but if he moved to Scotland he would be a Bosman free transfer. Brentford have offered the 23-year-old a new contract, but as yet it has not been signed as Dickson weighs up his options. Dickson's agent, Clive Hart, admits there are a number of clubs interested in the left-back and that the defender is mulling over the offer from Brentford. "Ryan has been offered a new deal by Brentford, but he is just weighing up his options at present," Hart told skysports.com. "There are a host of sides in England and Scotland tracking his progress at Brentford. "He has enjoyed a fine season to date and he is earning himself a reputation as one of the best young players outside the top two leagues. "We will now wait and see what transpires between now and the end of the season."
