Skysports.com understands that Millwall's Ali Fuseini is in line for a shock call-up to the Ghana squad.
The influential midfielder moved to England as a 12-year-old before being spotted by Millwall scouts playing Sunday league football and he soon progressed through the ranks.
He was handed his league debut in 2006 and has since become a regular in the first team.
Now it is understood Ghana's management have been made aware of Fuseini.
His advisor Eddie Duah has confirmed that Ghana are looking at Fuseini.
"It is true, we have been informed Ghana are interested," Duah told skysports.com.
"At the moment that is all we know, and would not like to speculate too much."
Fuseini, who has just returned to full fitness following injury, could be handed a call-up to the forthcoming African Cup of Nations in Angola.
