Blades duo end loan deals

Pair quit Bramall Lane stays early

Treacy: Back at Ewood Park

Sheffield United's on-loan pair Keith Treacy and Andrew Davies have both returned to their parent clubs.

Irish winger Treacy, who arrived at Bramall Lane on a six-month loan from Blackburn in the summer, was scheduled to return to Ewood Park at the end of January.

The 21-year-old made 17 appearances for the Blades and scored one goal, while defender Davies arrived on loan from Stoke in mid-September appearing on eight occasions.

Prior to the release of Treacy and Davies, manager Kevin Blackwell had eight players on loan in his first-team squad and current Football League rules allow for only five to be included on matchday.
