Southend United have finalised the loan extension of Sean Morrison from League One rivals Swindon Town.
Though Morrison was sent off on his Southend debut against Yeovil Town, the defender has impressed in making five appearances for the club.
Manager Steve Tilson revealed last week that he was hoping to hang on to the 18-year-old and the paperwork has now been completed.
Morrison is now eligible for the Shrimpers' next four games with the latest deal set to expire after the fixture against Walsall on 9th January.
Meanwhile, Tilson is expected to be able to trade in the January transfer window after the club resolved their issues with the Football League.
The League One side narrowly avoided going into administration earlier this season and as a result Tilson has only been allowed to sign players on emergency loan deals.
But the Shrimpers have confirmed that Tilson will be able to sign players on non-emergency terms in January should he wish.
