Paul Anderson remains convinced he made the right choice in joining Nottingham Forest after labelling Swansea City fans 'jealous'.
The winger joined Forest on a three-year contract in the summer from Liverpool after spending last season on loan at the City Ground.
He had enjoyed the 2007/08 campaign on loan at Swansea and the South Wales club also had an offer accepted by Liverpool over the summer.
Anderson opted for Forest and was subjected to boos from Swansea fans upon his return to the Liberty Stadium at the weekend as he played his part in a 1-0 win.
"It was my first time back since I helped Swansea to promotion from League One and I was gutted with the reception," admitted Anderson.
"I expected some stick, but not what I heard. It just came from some jealous fans. There were these rumours being spread that I only wanted to play for Forest as it was close to my home.
"But I'm a man and I make my own footballing decision.
"My family don't live too far away from Nottingham, but that didn't come into my thinking. It's pathetic really and a joke that I didn't get the respect I deserved.
"But it proves I was right as we're a bigger club and higher in the league than they are."
