Shaun Wright-Phillips and Nigel de Jong are both doubtful for Manchester City's Premier League game at Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.
England winger Wright-Phillips lasted just 20 minutes of City's 3-3 draw at Bolton Wanderers on Saturday before being replaced by Stephen Ireland.
Dutch midfielder De Jong, meanwhile, sat out the Reebok Stadium thriller due to swine flu and both could now miss the midweek trip to White Hart Lane.
City boss Mark Hughes confirmed the duo are fitness concerns and will assess Wright-Phillips and De Jong in the coming days.
"Shaun got a bang on his leg which caused him to go over on his ankle which locked up and is pretty sore," said Hughes.
"Nigel has swine flu. We are trying to keep a lid on it.
"He will not be at the training ground on Monday, but might still be an option for the game in midweek."
