Huddersfield Town have made a move for Middlesbrough defender Jonathan Grounds, skysports.com understands.
The 21-year-old defender is a product of Boro's famed youth academy and has made more than a dozen first-team appearances for the club.
Grounds has been heavily involved this term, making eight starts, but he now looks as if he could be on his way out of the club.
It is understood Huddersfield have bid £750,000 for his services and Boro are ready to accept the offer for the player who can play at left-back or in central defence.
Grounds, who has also had two loan spells at Norwich City, is set to discuss terms with the Terriers over the weekend.
