Mike Grella insists he is well aware of Leeds United's rivalry with Manchester United ahead of their impending FA Cup third-round tie.
The Whites are set to do battle with their rivals for the first time in nearly six years next month after being given an Old Trafford trip in the world-famous cup competition.
Grella helped Leeds set up the clash with Sir Alex Ferguson's men after scoring a brace off the bench in their extra-time success over Kettering.
Although the American has been with Leeds less than a year, long after the club's Premier League relegation, he knows the feelings among both sets of fans remains as strong as ever.
"I know they hate each other. I've known that for a while," explained Grella.
"I was watching United's game the other day and they were chanting how much they hate Leeds fans. And Leeds fans always chant they hate Manchester's fans.
"It's fantastic to be part of that. Eight months ago, it would have been a dream come true to first play Liverpool here in the Carling Cup, now we are going to Old Trafford."
