Juventus keeper Gianluigi Buffon has decided to delay knee surgery following Tuesday's heavy defeat to Bayern Munich.
The Italy international had been scheduled to have the operation on Wednesday, but has opted for a short delay on the back of their 4-1 UEFA Champions League defeat on home soil.
Buffon is believed to have changed his mind so that he can remain with his team-mates after they failed to qualify for the last 16 of the competition.
The 31-year-old's surgery is now scheduled for Sunday, although his agent Silvano Martina doubts whether he will be available to face Bari this weekend.
"He will have surgery on Sunday," explained Martina, who expects his client to be out for a month after the operation.
"I don't know if he'll be able to play against Bari on Saturday. In my opinion he won't play."
