Santana, Black and Jonsson fined by club after internal review of brawl

Suso Santana, Ian Black and Eggert Jonsson have all been fined by Hearts after the brawl following the Jambos' 2-1 defeat by Hamilton. The trio were reported by referee David Somers following the brawl and have now been punished by the club after an internal review of the disturbance that followed Sunday's SPL clash. Santana was reported for violent conduct after apparently striking out at unused Hamilton substitute Leon Knight, who was also shown the equivalent of a red card. Black was dismissed for insulting and abusive behaviour and Jonsson was cautioned for dissent.

Discipline

Manager Csaba Laszlo said in a statement on the club's official website: "While there were clearly a series of circumstances that led to events at the end of the game, it is important that players retain their discipline at all times. "The players concerned have been disciplined now and we will now concentrate on this weekend's game against Dundee United at Tynecastle." Meanwhile, Hearts also confirmed they would not appeal against Santana's red card from the incident. The Spanish winger will be suspended for the visit of United along with Black and Ismael Bouzid, who was sent off during the game along with Michael Stewart, who is hopeful of winning his appeal against his dismissal.
