Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is looking forward to a cup triple header against Blackburn in January.
Villa have been drawn against Rovers in the third round of the FA Cup and are also set to face Sam Allardyce's side in a two-legged Carling Cup semi-final.
That means the two teams will go head-to-head three times in the space of little more than a fortnight.
Blackburn hold the upper hand going into those meetings, having already claimed a 2-1 Premier League win at Ewood Park in September, but O'Neill insists his players are ready to exact revenge.
"We're delighted to be in the semi-finals and we have a number of big cup games coming up in January against Blackburn Rovers," he said.
"With us also facing one another in the FA Cup, there will be a lot of to-ing and fro-ing between Villa Park and Ewood Park in a short space of time.
"We will look forward to this when the time comes.
"But it is a fillip for everyone at the club to have a semi-final to look forward at the start of 2010. It will be terrific."
Meanwhile, Villa have also sought to distance themselves from reports suggesting they could move for Real Zaragoza winger Jermaine Pennant in January.
"The club have moved to deny newspaper claims they are set to move for Jermaine Pennant," read a statement released by Villa.
