Playmaker confident Hull can continue to climb

Geovanni has backed Hull City to continue their recent climb away from the Premier League relegation zone. The Tigers have eased the pressure on under-fire manager Phil Brown with a four-game unbeaten run which has seen them edge to four points above the bottom three. Their forthcoming fixtures have a tough look about them and pit Hull against Aston Villa, Blackburn, Arsenal and Manchester United. But playmaker Geovanni is confident that if Brown's men continue the form they have shown in recent weeks they will pick up further points.

On track

The former Barcelona man said: "The team is going the right way. If we can carry on playing like that all the time we will get good results. "If we can keep everything exactly the same everything will come back on track and we will score goals and get points." Geovanni, who signed a new two-year contract in September, was praised for his all-round contribution to games earlier in the season by manager Phil Brown. And he added: "I am here to help the team and will do anything but in the last games I have played up front. That is my position and I like it a lot."
