Sheffield United forward Jamie Ward insists he is going nowhere in January after being linked with a move to Championship promotion contenders West Brom.

The Birmingham-born youngster has impressed on the flanks for the Blades this season and his performances seem to have attracted numerous admirers.

However, he told skysports.com that he is not interested in leaving Bramall Lane anytime soon.

"To be honest I don't know where any of those stories came from and I am too happy at Sheffield United to even consider leaving," he said.

"I've only been here for just under a year and I ought to be here a lot longer than that.

"My career has gone from one end of the scale to the other really. I came here last season and used that first season to settle in, with this year in mind to kick on.

"I seem to have done that and hopefully I can continue that from now until the end of the season."
