Cheltenham Town have offered experienced midfielder Claus Jorgensen the chance to earn a move back into the Football League.
Jorgensen had a spell at Port Vale at the start of the season, but rejected the offer of a more permanent deal with the League Two club.
He has been playing non-league football with Fleetwood Town, but has now linked up with Cheltenham on trial.
Acting Robins boss John Schofield has confirmed he has given the former Blackpool man the opportunity to impress at Whaddon Road.
"Claus is training with us at the minute," Schofield told the club's official website.
"He's a lad who hasn't played in a while, but he lives relatively locally and we've done our homework and are having a look at him.
"He is looking to get back into League football and has kept himself very fit. It's a two-way street at the moment because he needs somewhere to train.
"If Claus is happy with what he sees from us and if we are happy with what we see there may be a chance he could stay around a bit longer."
