Blackburn midfielder Brett Emerton is thinking positively ahead of the Carling Cup quarter-final clash with Chelsea on Wednesday.
Rovers were hammered 5-0 by the Blues at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League recently and Emerton admits the defeat is still fresh in their minds.
But the Australian international insisted it must not lead to negative tactics against Carlo Ancelotti's side at Ewood Park, believing if they simply sit back and defend the Blues have the class to win again.
He said: "I don't think we'll need to mention that defeat (the 5-0 loss) in the changing rooms.
"It's still fresh in our minds and we must not let it happen again.
"Obviously they're a world-class team, one of the best in Europe, but we'll see what kind of team they put out.
"We'll have to see whether they rotate or if we do but all we can do is prepare the best way possible.
"We have to approach it in a positive manner. If you try to defend against that sort of quality then eventually they'll break you down."
