Argentine ace Fabricio Coloccini insists he turned down a number of offers to remain at Newcastle.
The international defender has hit out at claims that the only reason he is still at St James' Park is because he had no offers to move elsewhere.
Indeed the 27-year-old former Deportivo La Coruna and AC Milan star says he did have offers to leave Newcastle - but he turned them down.
"I was annoyed. People were saying the only reason I wasn't going anywhere was because there weren't any offers," he is quoted by the Sun.
"That wasn't true. The club and myself were getting a lot of offers."
