Lukas Jutkiewicz admits he is uncertain whether he will remain with Motherwell past the turn of the year.
The 20-year-old striker is currently on loan at the Scottish Premier League outfit from Everton.
That deal is set to expire in January, with the youngster seemingly set for a return to Goodison Park.
He has refused to rule out the possibility of prolonging his stay at Fir Park, but accepts his future lies in the hands of others.
"I have been wondering what the future holds," he said.
"But it's probably still too early to decide on anything at the moment.
"I always wanted to come up here, play regularly and score some goals so I couldn't be happier on that front."
Jutkiewicz has found form of late, scoring five goals in his last seven outings, with his rise to prominence coinciding with a six-match unbeaten run for Motherwell.
"I think we've got a solid base and the players seem to know what's expected of them," he added.
"They know what their job is and obviously we've only been beaten once in the league this season.
"It's an important thing to keep in mind - the unbeaten mentality.
"For us, though, the ambition is to just win the next match."
