Shrewsbury Town have solved their goalkeeping crisis by signing Tottenham Hotspur youngster David Button on loan until January.
Chris Neal has been ruled out for six weeks with a broken finger to join experienced shot-stopper Glyn Garner on the sidelines.
That left Shrews boss Paul Simpson with only Andres Aristidou between the posts, prompting the swoop for Button.
The 20-year-old has already made 10 appearances in League Two this season for Crewe Alexandra and is looking forward to his stint at Shrewsbury.
"The first thing I heard was on Wednesday afternoon when the goalie coach at Tottenham said there might be something in the pipeline to come to Shrewsbury," Button told the club's official website.
"I was happy about that and things got sorted yesterday and I drove up yesterday and signed this morning.
"There are a lot of goalkeepers at Tottenham, but to be training with the likes of Gomes and Cudicini can only be good for me in the long run.
"I'd like to get some games here during my loan and do all I can to help Shrewsbury to pick up some points and continue to push up the table."
