Skysports.com understands Queens Park Rangers have signed Blackburn Rovers midfielder Steven Reid on loan until January.
Reid is still building up his match sharpness after almost a year on the sidelines and he has yet to feature in the Premier League this season.
He has made three appearances in the Carling Cup for Blackburn, but has now been allowed to drop into the Championship to secure regular action.
The Republic of Ireland international has endured a troubled time with injuries in recent seasons and will look to make the most of his time at Loftus Road.
The 28-year-old is expected to train with Jim Magilton's side on Thursday and could come into contention for Saturday's game at Doncaster Rovers.
Magilton has moved to increase his options in midfield after losing the experienced Gavin Mahon until February due to a knee injury.
