Striker takes his punishment for dismissal

Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones has vowed to learn the lessons of his sending off against West Ham last month. Jones was sent off for pushing Hammers defender Herita Ilunga in the chest during his side's 2-2 draw at the Stadium of Light. The 25-year-old was fined for his dismissal and handed a three-game ban for the offence. Jones has served one game of his suspension and he admits he does not want to be sent off again "It's not nice to have to sit out three matches, but that's the punishment and I have to deal with it," Jones told the Sunderland Echo. "There is nothing I can do about it now. "Everything in life that happens to you, you learn a lesson. "Whether it is good or bad there is always something to take from it and hopefully this won't happen again."
