Swansea captain Garry Monk has signed a new long-term deal at the club.
The 30-year-old has inked a contract extension to keep him at the Liberty Stadium until 2012.
The former Southampton man was pleased to pledge his future to Swansea.
"I'm delighted to seal the new deal,'' said Monk. "It's something I've wanted for a long time.
"I absolutely love it at Swansea and it has never crossed my mind to play anywhere else.
"My relationship with the chairman, board, manager, club staff and the fans is fantastic and I was more than happy to make a long-term commitment to the club.
"This is my sixth season here and I've seen the club make massive progress on and off the field."
Swans chief Paulo Sousa was happy to secure the services of Monk and believes he has a key role to play at the club.
Garry is one of the players we think is very important to our project for his experience, quality and leadership,'' said Sousa.
"He is an important figure in the dressing room and on the pitch. He knows the club's philosophy and I'm delighted he's committed his long-term future to us."
