Sylvain Distin has paid tribute to Louis Saha after being left mightily impressed by the Everton striker's goalscoring form this season.
The Frenchman has been a revelation for the Toffees in bagging nine goals to date; a run of form that has silenced critics that point to his lengthy injury record.
Few have questioned the player's ability when he is fit and Distin, who joined Everton in the summer from Portsmouth, believes Saha could be influential in helping to revive what has been an indifferent campaign for the club as a whole.
Saha bagged his seventh league goal at the weekend against West Ham and Distin is confident there is still plenty more to come.
"Every time he plays he seems to score," said Distin.
"When you've got a player like Louis playing like he is now, even with an injury, it's amazing.
"He impresses me. He's a great player and you can see it every week."
