South Korea boss Huh Jung-moo does not believe he has done anything wrong in selecting Park Ji-sung.
Park has made just two starts for Manchester United this term and has not taken to the field in the past nine games due to a knee injury.
Sir Alex Ferguson recently announced that Park would need two more weeks to fully recover from the problem but Huh still decided to call up the midfielder to his latest squad.
With South Korea due to face Denmark on 14th November and then Serbia in another international friendly four days later, Huh is convinced that Park will be fit.
"I did not discuss this issue with Ferguson, but I did have a good talk with Park," he told the local media.
"In this case, the most important opinion is that of the player's not his coach. Clubs should not interfere in national team selection.
"Park is participating in full training at United, so I don't understand why Ferguson would try to stop him from joining us."
