Barcelona defender Eric Abidal could return from injury in time for the game against Rubin Kazan on Wednesday.
The Frenchman suffered an elbow injury in the game against Osasuna which finished 1-1 on Saturday, and first impressions suggested he could have suffered a fracture.
However, the injury is not as serious as first feared and Abidal is expected to play a part in the UEFA Champions League tie against the Russian champions.
The Catalans are currently top of Group F, but only on goal difference as there are three teams on four points, and they were beaten by Rubin in their last game.
Abidal was a part of the Barcelona side that won the Champions League last season, but he missed the final after picking up a red card in the semis against Chelsea.
